I majored in Electrical Engineering and my goal was to obtain a job in that field in Japan. Knowing that, the instructors at Linguage Japanese Language School collected information for my job-hunting. I started out as a part-time employee, gained experiences, and then was hired as a permanent employee at the same place.
One of the characteristics at this school is that there is a lesson on business conversation. The conversation practices with the ranks (“ue” and “shita”) in mind especially were extremely useful when I had a part-time job. I learned so much at this school through various activities related to job-hunting in Japan.
It is imperative that first you study Japanese as well as what you major in. Having a specialty and some Japanese proficiency increase your chance of realizing your dreams.
